Program Overview
Get trained and start a rewarding career as a HCA. Program cost from $6,250. Program is designed for students who want to be certified to work as a Health Care Assistant (HCA). Health Care Assistants are the frontline care providers in a variety of institutional and community settings. HCAs aid in the basic care of patients, under the direction of nurses, hospital staff, and physicians. They provide professional care and supervision in protective and supportive health care environments, for clients/residents who have complex health challenges. Through this course, students will gain skills and experience, first working in the classroom and lab, and then through practicum.

Salary Range
According to the data provided by Canada Job Bank you can earn up to $25.00 per hour as a Health Care Assistant.

Health Care Aide graduates pursue careers in a variety of clinical and care settings, and work with ill or elderly patients with mental health issues, dementia, and patients with special needs. Working environments for Health Care Aides encompass a wide variety of settings including home care agencies, hospitals, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, long-term care, government agencies, and group homes. This intensive program provides academic health care knowledge in 24 weeks and includes practical experience through an extended and integrative practicum experience.
