CMTCA Preliminary Accredited Program
As a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT), you will provide therapeutic massage and rehabilitation to patients experiencing pain, injury, stress, and chronic health conditions. You’ll work in multidisciplinary clinics alongside chiropractors and physiotherapists, operate your own private practice, treat professional athletes, or provide mobile wellness services to long-term care facilities.
The Registered Massage Therapy Program at Western Community College has been granted Preliminary Accreditation by the Canadian Massage Therapist Council of Accreditation (CMTCA), the first step in the rigorous accreditation process. Our comprehensive curriculum follows the Inter-Jurisdictional Practice Competencies established by the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia (CMTBC).
Upon successful completion of the program and passing the CMTBC provincial registration examinations, graduates are awarded a license to practice as a Registered Massage Therapist in British Columbia. Many RMTs advance to specialize in sport therapy, treating orthopedic pathologies, neurology treatment, or open their own thriving wellness practices. Your RMT diploma is the foundation for a rewarding, flexible, and high-income healthcare career.
